This was to be Sunday 21st June, but it has to be postponed. Here is a message from the organisers:
This year’s Tour de Penge is now changing to the end of September. The route we use - The Waterlink Way - is temporarily closed while a bridge is being repaired, in the area leading up to Catford. The works will not be completed until July and as there are no safe alternative routes we can use, we are changing the date of the Tour from June to September. Thank you to all those who have already registered. If you wish to join us in September, you will have to register again on the new list. More info and a new signing up link will follow when we have secured the date.
A wonderful not very hilly seaside ride. Ride options suited to a wide variety of ages and abilities. Keep the day free, details to follow. The route is here, you can ride the whole 34 mile route or for younger riders you can ride just the part at the start along the sea wall, then back to play on the beach. The ride is free, but you pay for your own travel.
We have just completed the 14th year of this ride series! This is a series of six guided road rides in the countryside, starting at 15 miles and progressing on the sixth ride to riding between 55 and 65 miles to the seaside (Brighton, Rye or Whitstable depending on the year). We plan to be back next year, so here are the details from 2026 to give you an idea of what we get up to.
